  • LIGHT

Physics defines light as electromagnetic radiation; it explains its nature, relates its characteristics, measures its speed, reveals its sources and forms of emission, and measures its brightness and intensity.

  • DARKNESS

What about Darkness? What has been studied about darkness? Nothing. Technically, darkness does not exist! The only plausible understanding is that darkness is nothing more than the consequence of the absence of light.

  • COEXISTENCE

An interesting detail is that there is no simultaneous coexistence of light and darkness, that is, light and darkness do not mix. Proof of this are day and night, generated by the rotation of the earth on its own axis.

  • DAY

The day comprises the period in which one of the planet's faces is turned towards the sun and receives direct illumination from the sun. Is there anything more beautiful than dawn? The sunlight driving away the darkness... illuminating everything that was hidden in darkness.

  • NIGHT

Night encompasses the period of time in which the sun's rays do not reach a certain side of the earth. This is when, slowly, darkness takes over the spaces previously filled with light.

  • QUESTIONS

These truths lead us to seek to understand life far from God: have you ever tried to follow a path in the darkness? Have you counted the falls? And, most importantly, have you managed to reach your destination?

  • MORE QUESTIONS

Is it possible to walk a narrow path in the darkness? In other words, in addition to the absence of light, the road is difficult to access. Yes, because Jesus said: "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it" (Matthew 7:14). So, what does it mean to live in the light? And what does it mean to live in darkness?

  • GOD'S ANSWER

When we look to Jesus Christ, we understand what it is to live in the light and perish in darkness. “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life’” (John 8:12).

  • NOT LEAVING THE CROSS IS THE SECRET

Living in the light means persisting in a life according to the gospel and spreading the good news. In fact, BEING EVANGELICAL means strictly following the model of life left by our Savior.

  • LIGHT/LIFE = CLOSENESS TO GOD

  • DARKNESS/DEATH = DISTANCE FROM GOD

When man was expelled from the presence of God (light), because of original sin, he began to live according to his understanding and his will. Paying a high and fair price for choosing transgression. And still suffering the consequences arising from this disobedience (darkness).

  • DIVINE REAPPROACHMENT

Over the years, through the patriarchs of faith, prophets and messengers, the Lord sought out His creatures, making them aware of His will and law. Although those appointed by God achieved some purposes, they failed to establish a lasting and stable connection between the Lord and His nation: “Oh! that my people had listened to me! that Israel would walk in my ways!” (Psalm 81:13).

  • GOD LOVED US FIRST

But He did not give up on us: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Christ, God made flesh, showed us all how He wants us to live: loving Him above all things and loving our neighbors the way He loves us.

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Jesus Christ, therefore, is the only link that “reconnects” us (religion, remember?) to the holy nature of God. He is the lamb who came to take us away from sin and addiction and offer eternal life: “For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother” (Matthew 12:50).

  • THE DECISION TO BE MADE

To live in the light, following The way, The truth and The life. Or... To perish in the darkness, rejecting the proposal that Jesus Christ makes to us every day!

GOD BLESS US!
